We strive to change the air in the room, influence the mood and enhance the human well-being with textiles. We make it home. Make it the office. Make it the hide-away. Make it your base. Make it your anchor. Make it yours.
Make it part of you.

» SANDÖN «
Islands are places of yearning: landscapes surrounded by the sea that take on a special character which touches and fascinates us. Like Gotska Sandön – Gotland’s both striking and charming sandy isle whose landscape and vegetation served as an inspiration for our 2023 collection. Far away from the nearest mainland this Swedish island comprising of little but sand and pebbles in the Baltic Sea has been formed by the weather and tides for millennia. The unique light of the North brings about lines and structures that when translated into textiles inject the lightness and joie de vivre of a summer’s day at the sea into interiors.
Boom goes Fashion
The upholstery and drapery fabric Boom of the current nya nordiska collection, developed in collaboration with the multi-award-winning London product designer Bodo Sperlein, is already being used in various living areas and is now also making its way into the world of fashion.
» NOMAD «
At home the world over
Fabrics create emotions, give rise to longings and memories. Patterns, colours and touch send us to other countries and on journeys of association without even having to change location. Here it is only our senses that need to be cosmopolitan and ready to “check in” to acquire fascinating new experiences. And we take the most beautiful of these home with us as souvenirs. The nya nordiska collection Nomad therefore extends an invitation to be guided by this personal compass. In fabric worlds that enrich our own journey through life – day by day.
Fragrance of the North
A fabric collection that appeals to all our senses comprises a variety of perfectly harmonising components – like a fragrance only fully unfolding through its interplay of top, heart and base notes. This was the image guiding us in the development of the nya nordiska collection 2021. Our path of associations here led us to the clarity of Nordic nature that offers all the elements of this fascinating interplay.

nya nordiska Classics
in New Shine
Our popular solid taffeta quality Plana and the matching striped versions of the same material are among the uncontested favourites in the nya nordiska collection. To mark Plana’s 25th anniversary we are now placing this modern classic in the creative focus to chart it and its striped colleagues for success over the coming years.

Neue Werkstätten Munich
VIENNA VIBES EVENT
The fascination of the designer Bodo Sperlein for Vienna, Viennese Modernism and the Wiener Werkstätte production community, based around Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser, takes shape in a series of extraordinary new designs. Sperlein presented his creations in the exhibition VIENNA VIBES, premiering on 12th March, uniting his collaborations with well-known manufacturers for the first time in the Neue Werkstätten in Munich.
NYA NORDISKA X
For the spring collection 2020, five exclusive fabric innovations were created in cooperation with the multiple award-winning London product designer Bodo Sperlein.
»LAGOM« – THE IDEAL MEASURE OF THINGS
“Lagom” is a Swedish term describing that happy medium between “too much” and “too little” – that desirable state of living in perfect balance. Striving for this attitude to life was also decisive in the development of the 2020 nya nordiska collection.
Outdoor textiles – for an outdoor life
Whether it’s outdoor sofas and chairs that bring the living room outside, sun loungers or the outdoor dining room – with our high-quality outdoor fabrics, there is no need to compromise on look and seating comfort when it comes to textile furnishing, even outdoors.
Textiles, architecture and the human being in dialogue
Since its foundation 55 years ago, nya nordiska has pursued its aesthetic philosophy of minimalism and regards textiles as a medium that allows people to experience architecture in a sensitive way.

STREIFZÜGE – A NEW INTERPRETATION
A poetically inspired title with no English equivalent serves as a succinct heading for nya nordiska’s spring collection: “Streifzüge” is the theme of the collection – a play on the words combining “stripes” and “explorations”.
