Midsommar 2019

We traditionally spend the white night of the summer solstice outside in magical nature.

Must-haves for the Scandinavian outdoor party: delicate non-colours and pastel-coloured linen sheets from Alabama and Vintage 2.0 and easy-care napkins made of Prisma Plain. Softly warming scarves made of Lima provide for cosiness even at a later hour.

The shadow cast by the leaf canopy impressively reflects on the textile surface. Shadow abstracts this idea into three colours and harmonises with Scandinavian rusty red, expressive blue and soft shades of white.

Airy, semi-transparent linen weave in a width of 320 cm. Alabama has a natural appearance but does not seem rustic at all. A soft finish which persists after washing gives this fabric a wonderfully caressing feel. Alabama can be easily combined, is ideal for light decorations and also suits well for panels and table linen. The shrinkage of 2% is moderate.

The entire fascination of the desert is translated in textile terms by this linen fabric. Its smooth, dry and grainy feel also arouses associations of the natural beauty of the sandscape, as does its colour scheme consisting of a total of 10 shades. Here off-cream and off-grey nuances in a lively, yarn- dyed finish exude as much appeal as the topical pastel tones like aqua, rose, dust rose and may. At 310 cm width Gobi provides the key counterpart to the 145 cm wide Sahara fabric. Its PU coating gives it solidity and structure without compromising its pleasantly supple feel.

Karima has raffia yarn woven into its surface to thank for its ingenious weave structure. This yarn gives the drapery fabric a cool touch on the outer face. The large linen admixture in the warp makes for a particularly soft falling drape and an enveloping touch on the reverse. Karima comes in a colour scheme of 10 discreet natural tones. The fabric is washable.

Macao is a linen fabric of the present. A classical linen weave, the lightly crisp surface reveals something unusual. To create this decoration fabric, fine linen yarns were interwoven with a robust raffia laces made of polyamide. This gives Macao the appearance of a casual, natural fabric.

The source of inspiration of this expressive design is the shadow cast by a leaf canopy in the sunlight. In three choices of colours, Shadow abstracts the view out of the window in the morning atmosphere, in the twilight and in the reflection of water. The near-natural design gets its soft drawing through realisation in warp print, which slightly shifts the printed image by way of the weft thread that is added later. Shadow owes its subtle shine to the polyester warp, while cotton in the weft provides for a dry feel. The traditional technique leads to a variety in repeat and printed image, this is how the product gets its manufactory character. Thanks to the easy-care material combination, the 145 cm width decoration fabric is washable.
