Textile architecture at the Museum of Applied Arts:
nya nordiska at Stylepark Selected

In the context of the international interiors show IMM Cologne, nya nordiska has started the new year 2018 in Cologne and supported an innovative project by Stylepark. In the halls of the Museum of Applied Arts MAKK (Museum für Angewandte Kunst), the successful online platform took a step forward into the third dimension and presented IMM novelties as hologram images for the first time. Titled as “Stylepark Selected”, these digital projections have been staged by design duo RelvãoKellermann from Munich. The ceiling-high columns and room dividers consisting of nya nordiska products Oscuro FR and Mirca CS as well as the decoration system Quattro did not only gave the room its structure and a cosy atmosphere, indeed, the columns were also used for the presentation of the “Stylepark Selected” winners.

This spectacular outcome turned the MAKK museum into the central meeting place of this year’s IMM Cologne. Apart from the novelties of the fair, the visitors also had the chance to see some embedded exhibits from the other partners of the event. Among others, Vitra installed its most important classics and the bathroom ceramics manufacturer Laufen demonstrated its different production methods to the guests. The overall concept was a great success and will be continued at next year’s IMM Cologne.
