Gobi

The entire fascination of the desert is translated in textile terms by this linen fabric. Its smooth, dry and grainy feel also arouses associations of the natural beauty of the sandscape, as does its colour scheme consisting of a total of 10 shades. Here off-cream and off-grey nuances in a lively, yarn- dyed finish exude as much appeal as the topical pastel tones like aqua, rose, dust rose and may. At 310 cm width Gobi provides the key counterpart to the 145 cm wide Sahara fabric. Its PU coating gives it solidity and structure without compromising its pleasantly supple feel.

The young tri-colour stripe fabric Alabama Stripe made of pure linen impresses through its wonderfully caressing touch. The colour range of the airy, semi-transparent natural fibre fabric reaches from fresh summer colours over pastel and aqua hues up to non-colours. Thanks to the generous width of the stripes, the fabric can also be applied laterally. The light decoration fabric is ideally fitting for panels and table linen, also in combination with its counterpart Alabama in plain in the same quality of material.

There is hardly any design which embodies so perfectly the roots of nya nordiska in the Scandinavian design language as the classical bicoloured stripe designs Jota, Kappa and Alpha 2.0. Even wider block stripes give the fabrics in their new edition a refreshing modernity (stripe width Jota 2.0 ca. 0,6 cm, Kappa 2.0 ca. 3,8 cm, Alpha 2.0 ca. 7,6 cm). Made of pure cotton, the washable and durable natural fibres can be used especially for upholstery, decoration and table sets – in a vivid interplay of colours, they can be combined with the check designs Jota-Check 2.0, Kappa-Check 2.0, Alpha-Check 2.0, the tri-colour stripes Delta, four-colour stripes Mega as well as plain fabric Zeta 2.0.

The elementary art of interiors. This expressive, large-format design care of Bodo Sperlein has its creative roots in Vorticism, a specifically English contribution to Modernism. Parallel to Cubism, this art form emerged in the early 20th century. Bodo Sperlein has now reinterpreted it for our millennium. As a generous jacquard pattern on a very fine thread cotton base, Blast’s Vorticist Cubist motif reveals its graphic effect in situ convincing us as a flambuoyant eyecatcher.
