It was already for the fifth time that the architecture magazines “AIT” and “XIA Intelligente Architektur” granted the innovation award Textile and Object, in co-operation with the trade fair Frankfurt. Of 38 submitted products, 13 were awarded in January 2008 and amongst them were three new fabrics by Nya Nordiska: Paso Doble CS, Tatami CS and Katsu.
The AIT innovation award focuses on those textiles which cater especially to the needs of architects. Originality of material, versatile application, function and composition are judged in this competition.
The awards once more confirm the competence of Nya Nordiska in project textiles. It is our aim to develop more fabrics for this section, not only fabrics which are flame retardant, abrasion-proof or serve as “black-out” but also allow for versatile decorations.
