Spectacular - red dot award awards ceremony 2010

July 2010 | On 05 July 2010, top designers, media representatives, economic experts and politicans from all over the world celebrated the awardees of this year’s red dot competition in Essen, Germany. Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, initiator of this large global design competition, handed over the award "red dot: best of the best" to the 45 most outstanding submissions on the stage of the Aalto Theatre in front of more than 1.000 guests. Afterwards, Nya Nordiska president Diete Hansl-Röntgen said "We are very proud of the fact that our family business has managed to gain a position within the international designer’s elite." She has received the award for the decoration fabric Batou CS on stage, together with chief designer Alice Pieper.

Besides Batou CS as "best of the best" in the category product design, Arrakis from the Nya Textiles collection and the panel track system, having been designed for the Nya Artline rail Quattro, received the red dot for excellent design. Accompanied by artistic performances, the glamorous ceremony closed not until the late evening.
