Review: Garment Garden presented in a photo book "Affordable Exhibition Design"
March 2011 | The Nya Nordiska fair event Garment Garden is now featured in a newly published book titled "Affordable Exhibition Design". The well-known Spanish architect Frances Zamora Mola gathered a selection of outstanding trade fair stands from allover the world for this richly illustrated book. They differ from conventional concepts of product presentation by creative and low-budget solutions.
Garment Garden has been designed for Nya Nordiska by the renowned architect Jurgen Mayer H. on the occasion of the event The Design Annual 2006 (TDA) at Frankfurt. In 2008, this fair stand concept gained the ADAM Award, the most important award for innovative fair presentations and events. For the design of Garment Garden, over three metres high cone-shaped sculptures were constructed, covered by nested fabrics with different patterns and textures. Their weird shapes were reminiscent of tree-like structures or futuristic skyscrapers, thus reflecting the TDA’s motto "inside:urban".
