During the “Stoff Frühling Munich” from 11 to 14 April 2008, Nya Nordiska and Artline will present themselves for the second time with a staging by Knut Loewe. This year, the renowned stage designer, who has been awarded several times for his work, aims to transform the “Einsäulensaal“ of the Residence Munich into a “backstage“ ambience.
His staging will be called “SILVER PINK ALU IN THE LAB“, and Knut Loewe’s point is to capture the tension which for example hovers in a studio just before the presentation of a new collection or at a film set, just before the background takes shape.
Knut Loewe: ”What I find most intriguing of Nya Nordiska fabrics is the range between tradition and high-tech. For my film work, I do appreciate the options available to me. The visitor simply must have the opportunity to touch the fabrics in order to comprehend this range. The lab-staging is meant to encourage them to do so.”
