Katsu is awarded red dot "best of the best"
At this year’s competition red dot award: product design, the decoration fabric Katsu was not only awarded a red dot but also “best of the best“ in the category “Living rooms and bedrooms".
Katsu is an elegant "non-colour" decoration fabric from the collection world “Pure Perfection“. It represents clarity through understatement,
so characteristic of Nya Nordiska designs, which often conceal an elaborate technique. With Katsu, though still using traditional Jaquard techniques, we managed to create a complete new visual appearance.
Already 49 articles of our collection already received the famous red dot for outstanding design. Following Lia-Voco (1991) and Borsellini (1998), Katsu is the third Nya Nordiska decoration fabric being awarded “best of the best“ at the same time.
