Design award for Nya Artline Spannstange
The “Spannstange”, a classic of Nya Artline, was honoured with the Busse Longlife Award 2008. The award was founded by Busse Design + Engineering. It is awarded to products, which have been successfully on the market for at least eight years and which were sold over a 100.000 times or with a manufacturer’s gross turnover of at least 1 million Euro. The award focuses on longevity, sustainability and profitableness of design products.
The revolutionary technique by Nya Artline of stretching a filigree stainless steel rod with 8 mm diameters established a new generation of curtain poles. This model has often been copied but remains unrivalled. A length of up to 5 metres can be stretched without any joists. The rod is defined through its minimalist appearance.
