Design Award Germany for Batou CS
February 2011 | On the occasion of the festive opening of the "Ambiente - International Frankfurt Fair", the decoration fabric Batou CS has received the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2011 in Silver. Diete Hansl-Röntgen and Sybilla Hansl, on behalf of the Nya Textiles design team, accepted the award on the winner’s stage. Each year, the Design Award is bestowed by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology as highest German official distinction in the field of design.
Before, Batou CS has been awarded the red dot award: product design "best of the best", Interior Innovation Award 2010, GOOD DESIGN Award 2010 and iF product design award 2011. Hence, Batou CS counts among the most successful articles within the collection. The transparent fabric shows a wattled pattern made of bulk threads, is easy to care and suitable for project use.
For Nya Nordiska, this is already the second design award in Silver. In 2006, decoration fabric Clou had received this distinction.
